Course overview

Noorani Qaida is the classic primer used across the Muslim world to prepare new readers for the Quran. It moves in small, logical steps: single letters, then joined letters, then vowel marks, and finally whole words and short phrases written exactly as they appear in the Mushaf.

At Noor-E-Taleem every lesson is live and one-on-one, so your tutor hears each sound you make and corrects it on the spot. Young children learn through repetition, colours and gentle encouragement, while adult beginners get clear explanations of why each rule works the way it does.

What you will learn

  • Recognise and pronounce all 29 Arabic letters from the correct point of articulation (makharij)

FAQ

Noorani Qaida: common questions

How long does Noorani Qaida take to finish?

Most students complete it in 4 to 6 months with 3–5 classes a week. Young children may take a little longer, and that is perfectly normal; we only move on once each lesson is solid.

What age can my child start?

Many children are ready at 4 or 5 years old. In the free trial the tutor checks attention span and letter recognition and suggests a suitable class length.

Do I need a printed Qaida book?

No. Your tutor shares the pages on screen and we send a digital copy you can print or use on a tablet for practice between classes.

What comes after Noorani Qaida?

Students continue directly to our Quran Reading with Tajweed course, starting with the short surahs of Juz Amma.
